Imagine this. You run marketing for a SaaS company. You know your ICP cold, you know their pain points, your product has real AI in it. Yet your campaigns say nothing about it. What’s actually stopping you?
I ask because I sit on the other side of your funnel. Senior marketing exec, live martech budget, inside a dozen drip campaigns right now. Almost none of them tell me one specific thing about their AI.
And the data says your silence is expensive.
6sense’s 2025 research on ~4,000 B2B buyers: 94% now use LLMs during the purchase journey. Roughly 90% say AI features were part of the solutions they ultimately bought. And 58% engaged vendors EARLIER than usual, specifically to validate how the AI was actually implemented.
Your buyers are volunteering to enter your funnel early to ask about AI. Your nurture emails are still leading with “5 tips to improve open rates.”
So back to the question. What’s stopping you? Three answers I keep seeing:
- The sequences were written in 2022 and lightly reheated since. Nobody owns updating them.
- Fear of the AI-washing backlash. Fair, vague claims get tuned out. But the fix is specificity, not silence.
- The AI roadmap lives with product, and marketing was never handed anything concrete enough to say.
Meanwhile the trust math is brutal. TrustRadius: 87% of vendors believe they’re transparent about product limitations. Only 37% of buyers agree. Gartner: 73% of buyers actively avoid suppliers sending irrelevant outreach. An AI-silent nurture track manages to be irrelevant and opaque at once.
Here’s what would make me, your actual ICP, stop and reply:
- What model, what data it touches, where it lives
- What it automates on day one vs. quarter three
- A named customer who measured the lift, with numbers
- What it can’t do yet, stated plainly
That last one is the cheat code. When only 37% of buyers believe vendors about limitations, admitting one is the most differentiated sentence you can write.
This gap won’t stay open. AI-first challengers will answer these questions inside the boring drip campaign you forgot about, and wallet share moves at renewal.
The play isn’t saying “AI” louder. It’s answering “prove it” before your buyer asks.
So, honestly: which of the three is stopping you?
